Hello & welcome!

I’m a novelist, short story writer, and essayist living in upstate New York and would love to tell you more about my novels and story collection.

But first, a few details so you’ll have a glimmer of where those works, most of them, came to be. For much of my writing life, my husband and I lived in a hundred-and-fifty-year-old farmhouse on a dirt road in northeastern Pennsylvania. The silence out there was so deep it edged over into its own sound. An archway of the Milky Way appeared on clear nights. Every autumn and spring Canada geese flew over the house as if using it as a guide. There, I wrote—and wrote—while the seasons spun by and geese flew back and forth in their noisy determined lines.
